How much does it cost to obtain a Dubai VISA?

It really depends on the type of Visa and the complexity to process the application (a quotation will be shared by the TopVisa team).

For example, a 2-Year Freelance Visa in Dubai could cost up to AED 20,000. All cost are included (excluding insurance’s cost – to be assessed separately).

Please be cautious of anyone offering significant discounts:

  1. It could be a scam / fraudulent agency
  2. The true costs may be hidden (e.g., renewal fees in year 2 at your expense).
  3. They might suggest shady or unconventional processes, such as pretending to be hired by their company!

What is TopVIsa’s fee?

We charge a service fee of 5-10% in addition to the cost of the process, depending on the type of visa and the complexity of the application. A Quotation will be shared before to kick off the application process.

What is included?

We provide “All-Inclusive Packages” with the exception of insurance costs. The TopVisa team can assist in finding the right insurance provider to complete the process.

Are the Medical Examination fees included in the package?

How long will it take to get my VISA?

  • It depends on the type of Visa. For example, the Freelance Visa could take up to ~20 working days due to the complexity of the process and the number of parties involved .

No, the Medical Examination application needs to be submitted by our team.

What is the validity of the Entry Permit (EP) until stamping?

The Entry Permit is valid for 60 days; hence, the visa should be stamped within this time.

Is health insurance required?

Yes, as per UAE Immigration, health insurance is a mandatory requirement for visa processing.

Am I allowed to register for VAT?

If you are making a revenue between AED 187,500 per year and AED 375,000 per year then you may register for VAT voluntarily. If you are receiving a revenue of AED 375,000 per year and above, you must register for VAT

Who is eligible for a Freelance Visa in Dubai?

  • Anyone over 18 years old with a passport valid for at least six months is eligible. Applicants must also be in good health and free from serious illnesses such as tuberculosis or HIV

What documents are usually acceptable as proof of residential address?

  • Utility Bill: Utility bills such as telephone, electricity, water bills should not be older than 3 months on the date of verification (3-month validity).
  • A valid UAE Tenancy Contract or Lease Agreement (Ejari): Should not be expired by the date of verification. In case of outside the UAE, the Tenancy Contract will need to be notarised.
  • Bank Statement: Should not be older than 3 months the date of verification (3-month validity). Electronic or Printout Bank Statements are not acceptable unless stamped by the bank.

Can I sponsor my family members if I am on a freelance Visa?

  • Yes, you can, if you meet the minimum income requirements and other criteria.
